ACERO - SOTO HS
About the school
Victoria Soto High School, which opened in 2013, serves more than 550 students from ninth through twelfth grade. The school is deeply committed to preparing students for their future through a comprehensive and personalized approach to learning. With the support of a dedicated college counselor, students engage in a wide variety of classes, including honors and AP courses, while leveraging the Gradient Learning Platform, which focuses on whole-student outcomes and social-emotional learning. Soto emphasizes a holistic educational experience, tailoring instruction to meet the unique needs and aspirations of each individual. At Soto, students are empowered to pursue their passions, develop their talents, and craft personalized post-secondary plans. By integrating social-emotional support into academics, students build the resilience, character, and intellect necessary for success. All students are challenged at levels appropriate to their readiness, ensuring equitable access to a rigorous education. Soto is also proud to offer thriving athletics and fine arts programs that provide students with opportunities to explore their interests and excel outside the classroom. Our athletics teams foster teamwork, discipline, and school pride, while our fine arts programs allow students to express their creativity through visual arts and music. In addition to academic rigor and extracurricular offerings, Soto is committed to service and community engagement, requiring all students to complete 100 service hours during their high school years. This focus on community involvement complements our mission to prepare students for success in college, careers, and beyond. As part of the Acero Schools network, Victoria Soto High School embodies Acero's mission of transforming minds through academic empowerment and success. Our aim is to provide a strong academic foundation while fostering the social-emotional growth and confidence that students need to thrive in their post-secondary journeys.
