About the school
Ms. Arrigo began secondary English and Literature in 2006 as a member of the charter corps of Teach for America- Connecticut. After completing her Teach for America tenure, Ms. Arrigo served as an advisor to new Corps Members at the Teach for America Summer Institute in Philadelphia. From 2008 to 2012, she was a founding instructor, advisor, volleyball coach, and English Department Chair at UIC College Prep, a campus of the Noble Street Charter School in Chicago. During this time, she also attended the KIPP School Leadership Program in New York City as a member of the Leadership Team cohort. After seeing the founding class at UIC College Prep graduate, Ms. Arrigo transitioned to Chicago Public Schools as the Manager of Recruitment and Authorization for the Office of New Schools, overseeing the recruitment of and selection processes for new schools of all types. In 2013, Ms. Arrigo returned to the Noble Network as the founding Dean of Students of Baker College Prep. After serving as Dean of Students and then as Assistant Principal, Ms. Arrigo was selected to become Principal of Baker College Prep in 2017. Ms. Arrigo is eager to lead the amazing team of educators at Baker to continue providing students on the south side of Chicago with life-changing educational opportunities.
