About the school

Welcome to South Shore International College Prep where our scholars are anchored in excellence! At SSICP we think critically, write purposefully, and apply learning in real-world situations to prepare scholars for post-secondary excellence as leaders who will impact their local and global communities. Our school prepares all students for success as internationally minded scholars who approach all facets of life with excellence. As TARS, our students are Tenacious | Anchored in Excellence| Responsible| Scholars. At South Shore International College Prep, we offer a highly competitive personalized high school experience with all of our scholars participating in the International Baccalaureate programmes. 9th grade scholars enter our school as Middle Years Programme participants culminating in a Personal Project in their sophomore year which demonstrates their learning and research skills in a project focused on their personal passion. At the end of their sophomore year, scholars choose their post-secondary preparatory pathway as a Business, Medical and Health Careers, Career-Related Programme or Diploma Programme scholar. All juniors and seniors take college level course work and take exams at the end of their senior year which translate into college credit. To date, over 74% of our seniors have graduated with enough college credits to cover at least one college course and 39% of scholars have credit for two or more college courses. Record numbers of our scholars have also received the prestigious Gates and Posse scholarships as a result of their academic achievements. Beyond academics, our student body and energetic staff are highly engaged as members of the global community. We are committed to exposing each student to varied levels of Internationalism, from studying various cultures to international communications to world travel. Our scholars have traveled to Costa Rica, China, London, France, and Peru to name a few locations! We are committed to at least one global experience per year that is open to our entire school community. In addition to globalism, our scholars show excellence in athletics where our scholar athletes ranked 2nd in State for Girls Track in 2024 and our Football team was undefeated in 2024 with three of our top players attaining full scholarships! In addition to sports, our scholars rank 1st in the country in academic competitions through our Medical Program (HOSA) and our Business program (FBLA). We also offer World La
